 ...plays a unique role within Hungarian higher education. Their aim at the beginning of the 21^st Century is to make the University the leading institution in education, heath care and academic research both in Hungary and in the Central European region as a whole.

Graduate training comprises courses of pathology for the faculty of general medicine and for the faculty of dentistry. Beside the Hungarian, there are also courses in English and German language for both faculties. Aside the academical courses anatomical theatre-practice and histological courses are also present. As parts of education infrastructure are internal TV circuit, video archives, slide collection on CD ROM, consultation microscope/monitor system and the telepathology system.

Since 1895 the University has an important role in education, the diagnostic work and research clinicopathological exercise.
During 2002-2003 has been renovated the dissecting room, a biopsy diagnostic laboratory, and modern diagnostic molecular pathology department. Beside the Hungarian, there are also courses in English and German language. The clinicopathological seminars and conferences are important parts of the education.
